Thomas Cosgrove first started learning metalwork at the age of 14, by teaching himself how to make chainmaille. Not long after that, he burned himself while taking his first blacksmithing class, and has been passionate about the art ever since. He has obtained multiple certifications in welding, built several forges, and worked on various projects by commission. He has also done blacksmithing demonstrations at several local events, including with the local SCA Shire of Mountain Freehold, a medieval re-enactment group. Thomas is a member of ABANA (the Artist Blacksmith’s Association of North America) and the New England Blacksmiths, and is a former member of the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland.
